Job summary
TYLin is seeking a Lead Water Engineer to join our Water team in the Seattle area. The role leads project teams in planning, design and construction of complex water and wastewater infrastructure for municipal clients.
The successful candidate will oversee hydraulic calculations, development of specs, cost estimates and proposals, while mentoring staff and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.
Qualifications
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
- 15+ years of water and wastewater engineering consulting experience.
- PE licensure required.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Experience coordinating with an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing contract documents for water/wastewater projects.
Responsibilities
- Organize and lead teams to pursue and secure water and wastewater opportunities; develop proposals.
- Lead engineering design of complex assignments, including condition assessments and rehab design.
- Develop technical reports, studies, and memoranda for client deliverables.
- Manage projects, budgets, staffing, scheduling, and invoicing.
