Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Lead Water Engineer to join our Water team in the Richmond, Virginia area. You will lead project teams through planning, design, and construction of stormwater, water, and wastewater infrastructure, coordinating with clients and internal staff.

The role requires 15+ years of municipal water/wastewater experience, a PE license, and strong communication and technical writing skills. MS degree preferred; hybrid work options with competitive base pay.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of water and wastewater engineering consulting experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure is required.
• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering; M.S. degree preferred.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams on municipal projects.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead teams to pursue stormwater, water, and wastewater opportunities.
• Lead engineering design of complex assignments, including condition assessment and rehabilitation design, planning studies, hydraulic calculations and drawings.
• Develop technical reports and memoranda to support engineering analyses.
• Manage projects and resources, budgets, schedules, staffing, invoicing and payments.
• Mentor staff and provide technical oversight and support.
• Present project deliverables to clients as required.
