Job summary

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Engineer with 5–10 years of progressive experience to design and lead water and wastewater systems projects in Delaware and beyond. The role emphasizes technical leadership, proposals, and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities include managing design oversight, budgeting, and coordinating construction phases, with opportunities to serve as project design lead and contribute to technical approaches.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor of science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 5–10 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater planning, design, and construction.
• Professional Engineer (PE), licensed in Delaware or eligible via comity within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, and provide design oversight of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and monitor budgets; deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Participate in construction phase and contract preparation.
• Lead project planning from procurement through closeout.
• Support technical proposals and mentor younger staff.
