Job summary

Maplewood of Cheshire County is seeking an experienced Chief Operator of Water & Wastewater for our Westmoreland, NH location. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of water and wastewater treatment plants and delivering potable water to the community.

Essential duties include ensuring regulatory compliance, performing maintenance, and overseeing laboratory testing and records. Licenses incl. Grade II Water Distribution and Grade II Water/Wastewater are required.

Qualifications

• Duties require knowledge of water and wastewater treatment equivalent to completion of an Associate’s degree and three to five years of related experience.
• Grade I Wastewater Treatment License, Grade II Water Treatment License, and Grade II Water Distribution License required.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing water/wastewater treatment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effluent complies with state regulations and EPA permit.
• Verify water quality meets all regulations for distribution.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance at treatment centers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine testing for compliance.
• Operate and maintain equipment including pumps and meters.
• Provide on-call duty for maintenance and related duties as needed.
