Job summary

Inframark is seeking a Water Lead Operator in New York to lead daily treatment plant operations, supervise shift activities, and ensure safe, compliant, high-quality drinking water. This role requires hands-on leadership and strong technical knowledge in water treatment and laboratory testing.

The successful candidate will operate treatment systems, monitor performance, respond to issues, and maintain records while promoting safety and efficiency in a dynamic plant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; advanced degree study preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license and driving eligibility.
• Florida Class A Water Treatment Plant Operator License or reciprocity possible.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support plant operators during assigned shifts.
• Review operational data and plant performance with supervision.
• Ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of treatment processes.
• Operate pumps, valves, turbines, motors, and monitor control panels.
• Collect samples and conduct laboratory analyses (pH, chlorine, turbidity, etc).
• Maintain and calibrate meters; document readings and reports.
