Job summary

Woodard & Curran is seeking a Lead Water Treatment Operator for the UNH Durham, NH facility. The role requires a Grade 3T license (preferably in MA) and about 2+ years of related experience.

You will supervise an Operator in Training, operate SCADA-controlled processes, and oversee maintenance across multiple treatment trains. Responsibilities include data management, routine lab work, and ensuring compliance with EPA/state standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Massachusetts Grade 3T license preferred; 3T OIT accepted.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
• Proficiency with SCADA, Word, Excel, and maintenance management software.
• Ability to work independently while following safety procedures.
• Valid MA driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant processes and equipment manually and via SCADA, making adjustments as needed.
• Oversee remote pump stations with inspections and daily sampling.
• Perform water quality sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with standards.
• Operate and maintain equipment; manage flow through treatment and distribution systems.
• Maintain maintenance records and data entry; generate reports.
• Support safety policies and coordinate with facility staff.
• Supervise junior Operators and ensure cost-effective service.
• Maintain on-site logs for water quality analysis and permits.
