Job summary

Lochmueller Group seeks a Senior Water Treatment Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of municipal drinking water treatment plants and related projects. You will serve as a technical expert in process and facility design within our water resources team, shaping reliable, resilient water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
• Extensive experience in water treatment facility design.
• Experience designing facilities in the Texas Fort Worth/Dallas region.
• Proven success managing large or complex projects.
• Proficiency with engineering software for design and analysis.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert and lead planning, process selection, and detailed design for water treatment plant projects.
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring to project managers and engineers.
• Support projects across the Water Resources team, integrating treatment facility expertise with conveyance, storage, pumping, and utility infrastructure.
• Prepare project documents and designs, conduct analyses, interpret data, and plan and coordinate aspects of water treatment engineering work.
• Perform QA/QC on project deliverables.
• Oversee project teams, ensuring alignment with standards, schedules, and goals.
• Collaborate with senior management on strategic planning and business development.
• Prepare proposals and funding applications.
