Job summary

The City of Fort Worth Water Department is seeking a Water Systems Specialist to supervise and coordinate wastewater and biosolids treatment operations. The role includes reviewing reports, guiding technical staff, and ensuring safety and efficiency across facilities.

Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in engineering, a Class B Water Treatment license, and a Texas Driver License, with 4 years in wastewater treatment including supervisory experience. Shift and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in engineering and a Class B Water Treatment license.
• Four years of wastewater treatment experience, including one year of lead supervisory experience.
• Texas Driver License; ability to pass drug and physical screenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities related to Wastewater and Biosolids treatment processes.
• Review daily reports and inspect operation of treatment facilities.
• Provide leadership and training to staff and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Adjust chemical feed rates and process controls to maintain water quality.
• Maintain detailed operation records and respond to emergencies.
