Job summary
The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Process Control Systems Specialist to program, configure, and maintain PLC/DCS/SCADA for municipal water and wastewater facilities. You will design control system layouts, participate in system integration projects, and provide expert guidance on instrumentation and telemetry needs.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years in PLC/DCS, with a Texas driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation or related field.
- 5+ years PLC/DCS programming, operation and maintenance in water/wastewater.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License.
- Drug screen and physical screening required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains, troubleshoots, calibrates, and programs Process Control Systems, SCADA, DCS, and PLCs.
- Designs wiring diagrams and layouts for new control equipment in water/wastewater facilities.
- Leads technical strategy for control systems and accesses operational data for the enterprise system.
- Prepares specifications and contracts for control system maintenance and updates.
