Job summary

Dover Corp seeks a Water Strider Team Lead to drive material flow and production continuity on the shop floor. You will optimize JIT routes, lead Lean initiatives, and collaborate with operations to clear roadblocks, ensuring timely delivery of components.

You will also manage inventory accuracy, interpret BOMs and work orders, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while coaching a high-performance team.

Role Overview: Water Strider

As a Water Strider Team Lead, your primary mission is to keep production moving. You ensure Water Striders are delivering material to the right place at the right time, minimizing downtime and maximizing the productivity of the entire assembly team.

Your Responsibilities

• Material Logistics:Optimize material flow by creating systematic Just-In-Time (JIT) routes and timelines. Manage material scanning processes to ensure inventory accuracy at the point of use. Validate material inventory on the production line to support daily requirements.
• Operational Support:Interpret work orders, requisitions, supply demand documents, and bills of materials to identify required parts and tools.
• Communication & Alignment:Act as a focal point in the material flow process, collaborating with operations and assembly personnel to clear hurdles and keep production on track.
• Lean Leadership:Promote Lean initiatives and lead continuous improvement efforts within your team to refine floor processes.
• Safety & Stewardship:Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Identify equipment maintenance needs and adhere to all PPE and safety protocols.
