Summary

A Lead is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of production workers in a department or work cell. Also assists production workers with all tasks, as needed.

Job Duties

• Follow and enforce all safety regulations
• Follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees
• Ensure production work is completed timely and efficiently
• Assists production workers with production tasks as needed, including but not limited to: grinding, assembly, welding, painting, material handling
• Work with Managers and other Leads to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments
• Demonstrate equipment operations along with work and safety procedures to new employees or assign new employees to experienced workers for training
• Actively participates in a LEAN Manufacturing culture
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience
• Direct working knowledge of operations
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

Working Conditions
