Job summary

The City of Nampa is seeking a Water Capital Maintenance Tech to install, maintain, and repair domestic and pressurized irrigation water systems. You will operate heavy equipment, perform emergency responses, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards in a water plant environment.

The role requires at least 2 years in maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Idaho CDL with Tanker/Combo and air brake endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
• Valid Idaho Class A Driver's License with Tanker/Combo and air brake endorsements required.
• Water Distribution I license within 2 years of accepting position.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain water distribution lines, meters, valves, and services in compliance with regulations.
• Perform emergency shutdowns and repairs; respond to flood calls and on-call duties.
• Install and test meter sets and maintain hydrants as scheduled.
• Operate and maintain heavy and specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
