City of Colton is seeking a Senior Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to lead the Wastewater Utilities Division. The role directs operations, schedules daily tasks, and provides technical oversight to treatment staff. The incumbent may act as Wastewater Utilities Supervisor in their absence.

The position requires 3 years at Operator II level, a CA Class C license and a Grade III WRCB certification, with on-call duties and potential weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years as a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II.
• Valid State of California Class “C” driver's license is required.
• Valid Grade III State of California Water Resources Control Board Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Direct, coordinate and supervise daily operations of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators.
• Plan, assign and monitor daily tasks and provide technical direction to staff.
• Write standard operating procedures and lead training for subordinate personnel.
• Ensure safety rules are followed and oversee inspections and maintenance.
