Job summary

Golden State Water Company in Rancho Cordova, CA is hiring Water Treatment Plant Operator I or II to operate and maintain treatment equipment at Coloma Treatment Plant. The role involves monitoring system performance, sampling, chemical handling, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SWRCB Water Distribution Operator 1 certification – required if no valid T1.
• SWRCB Water Treatment Plant Operator 1 certification preferred at hire and Grade 2 within 24 months.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and monitor water treatment equipment and systems.
• Perform basic laboratory analyses on water samples and collect samples.
• Load and unload chemicals and manage dosing and flow calculations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards; respond to emergencies as needed.
