Job summary

City of Pasadena, TX seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support the Waste Water Collection Division. You will coordinate crews in installation, maintenance, repair, expansion, and relocation of wastewater lines, helping plan operations and manage schedules.

You will supervise field staff, assist in budgeting, training, and responding to emergencies, while ensuring compliance with wastewater laws and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years sewer line, pipeline or general construction supervisory experience.
• Know all wastewater laws and requirements for wastewater systems and how to handle violations.
• Able to deal with the public and officials from all agencies.
• Must be able to do related math calculations and know formulas and conversion tables.
• Proven supervisory and management ability.
• Valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Waste Water Collection Superintendent in directing crews and coordinating installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer lines.
• Assist in planning operations, scheduling materials, and ensuring project timelines.
• Supervise and evaluate field staff; train and discipline as needed.
