Job summary

City of Baytown is looking for a Field Supervisor to lead the Wastewater Treatment team and coordinate field operations. You will supervise plant operations and direct O&M of the wastewater plant and lift stations to meet regulatory standards.

The role includes training operators, maintaining records, and overseeing repairs. Strong knowledge of EPA/TCEQ regulations and safety training is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) plus specialized technical courses.
• Valid TX driver's license with an acceptable driving record (must obtain TX license within 90 days).
• Class "B" Wastewater Treatment Certification from TCEQ.
• Three years experience in a paraprofessional related role.
• Demonstrated prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant operations and direct operation and maintenance of the wastewater plant and lift stations.
• Provide training to current and incoming operators and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain records of all plant operations and provide safety training.
• Oversee major repairs/equipment replacements, assign work duties, procure supplies, and provide safety training.
• Review construction plans to ensure operational efficiency.
• Communicate plant activities with supervisors and office personnel.
• Interpret lab data and work reports to make decisions concerning plant operations.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
