Job summary

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor II to oversee collections across lines of business, manage drivers and helpers, and partner with the Hauling Manager to meet safety, efficiency and budget goals.

You will ensure compliance with DOT, environmental, and regulatory standards; lead safety programs; and drive customer experience while maintaining accurate route documentation and coordinating with maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years in waste management operations.
• 3+ years supervising waste management, transportation or logistics.
• Experience with route optimization and efficiency.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements for commercial vehicles.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• PowerBI knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Drivers and Helpers and ensure safety goals.
• Plan routes and monitor safety and PPE; drive efficiency.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment safe and compliant.
• Improve customer experience and resolve issues with timely communication.
• Maintain regulatory paperwork and route documentation.
