GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a front-line team within a branch generating over $30 million in revenue.

You will recruit, train, and mentor drivers, technicians, and operations staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role emphasizes safety-first practices, adherence to DOT regulations, and driving operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on management experience in waste/logistics/blue-collar sectors.
• BA/BS degree desired or equivalent leadership/operational experience.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with drivers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and develop a team of drivers, technicians, and operations personnel.
• Drive a safety-first culture; lead monthly safety meetings and incident investigations.
• Set daily priorities to meet service commitments across collection and disposal services.
• Ensure 100% DOT compliance; monitor logs, vehicle inspections, and route audits.
• Partner with leadership to execute a branch profit plan and improve productivity.
