Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring an Operations Manager in Virginia. You will lead a frontline team of drivers, technicians, and operations personnel, advancing safety, efficiency, and morale across the branch.

You’ll drive performance, manage wage and hour guidelines, and participate in annual reviews. A BA/BS is preferred, with 2–3 years of hands-on management in related sectors, and CDL is a strong plus. This role includes a competitive pay and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on management experience in the waste industry, logistics, heavy industrial, or a similar blue-collar sector.
• BA/BS degree is desired, but equivalent real-world leadership and operational experience are highly valued.
• Safety mindset; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a frontline team of drivers, technicians, and operations personnel.
• Drive a safety-first culture with monthly safety meetings and routine route observations.
• Set daily priorities to meet customer service commitments and ensure DOT compliance.
