Job summary

Fastenal Co. is hiring a Picking Lead at our Indianapolis, IN distribution center. You will oversee day-to-day picking operations, guide teammates, and ensure accurate packing, labeling, and routing for each order.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork within a fast-paced warehouse environment. The position requires leadership, strong communication, math aptitude, and the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Lead and motivate a team of employees.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs.
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY).
