Job summary

Fastenal is seeking a Product Handling Lead at our Indianapolis distribution center. This full-time role leads daily operations of the Product Handling department, consolidates product, restocks locations, and moves inventory to support company branches.

You will supervise team members, ensure accurate processing, and uphold health and safety standards, with onboarding followed by a flexible schedule after performance goals.

Qualifications

OVERVIEW

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Product Handling Lead, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Product Handling department. You will help facilitate the movement of product throughout the distribution center to company owned branches. You will consolidate product, restock locations and move inventory within the distribution center. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Proficient written and oral communication skills

• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Lead and motivate a team of employees
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

• Prior experience operating a forklift
