Job summary

Hill 35 seeks a district telecommunications administrator to manage the voice network, voicemail, and critical VOIP systems. You will supervise telecom staff, coordinate campus installations, and ensure accurate Erate documentation and billing.

You will work with vendors and district staff to keep networks reliable, secure, and compliant, while guiding end-user training and support for telecom services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or related field is required.
• Three years of related telecommunications experience or equivalent education may substitute for degree.
• Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager VOIP equipment and related software.
• Experience in Schools and Libraries Program for Erate funding is required.
• Personal cell phone is required for district business, after hours and remote work.
• Valid Texas driver's license or ability to obtain one by start date.

Responsibilities

• Serves as chief administrator of district voice network and telecom equipment, voicemail, emergency services, and related software.
• Supervises telecom/data technicians for installation of campus telecom/data equipment and wiring.
• Files Erate forms for discounts on telecommunications services and internet access.
• Handles Helpdesk requests related to phones, voicemail, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Communicates with vendors, monitors contracts and negotiates vendor billing issues.
• Ensures invoicing accuracy and prompt payment for telecom equipment and services.
• Provides end-user training and technical assistance for telecom systems.
• Maintains clear district records and adheres to records retention policies.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
