Veterans Benefits Administration seeks a Supervisory Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor to lead VR&E personnel at the regional office and out-based facilities. The role includes supervision, coaching, performance appraisals, and program reporting to ensure high-quality services for veterans.

Responsibilities cover complex case supervision, QA activities, and budget oversight for travel funds, with emphasis on compliance and staff development within the department.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling or related field from an accredited college or university.
• One year supervised internship or one year post-master's degree experience in direct delivery of professional vocational rehabilitation services.
• For GS-13, one year of specialized experience in VR programs with knowledge of IL requirements and related laws.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a first level supervisor for VR&E personnel located at the Regional Office or out-based facility.
• Interview and recommend selection of employees; train and monitor performance; prepare ratings and division reports.
• Review difficult cases and supervise Employment Coordinator and Program Specialist positions.
• Provide quality assurance and contribute to SOAR reports, inquiries, and white papers.
• Collect data and prepare reports and analyses; manage travel funds for supervised staff.
• Provide technical support and enforce laws, regulations, and rules affecting operations.
