Job summary

Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, Disability Employment and Transitions Division, Vocational Rehabilitation Services Bureau, Bozeman, seeks a Rehabilitation Counselor Supervisor to lead the office and oversee an active caseload.

The role emphasizes adherence to policy and law while counseling clients on job goals and coordinating with partner agencies to promote independence and workforce participation for people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in rehabilitation counseling.
• Three years’ experience in rehabilitation counseling.
• Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling.
• Two years supervisory experience providing direction to counseling activities.
• Counseling and CRC certification preferred.
• Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of the Vocational Rehabilitation office and manage an active caseload.
• Ensure case management practices align with procedures, policy, and law.
• Counsel clients on job and career development goals.
• Provide staff assistance with decision-making on difficult cases.
• Serve as a liaison between Vocational Rehabilitation, Blind Services and community partners.
• Support full participation of individuals with disabilities in society, focusing on independent living and work.
