Qualifications

• High school diploma required; CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT certification preferred or as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years veterinary technician experience with high‑level clinical proficiency.
• One or more years supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, review, schedule, and develop technical staff.
• Manage daily operations of the technical department and mentor team members.
• Establish and enforce patient care standards and department protocols.
• Oversee staff scheduling, on‑call rotation, and overtime management.
• Collaborate with veterinarians on case management and continuous education.
• Ensure hospital policies and safety procedures are followed.
