PetVet Care Centers is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for Des Moines Veterinary Hospital. The role emphasizes high-quality veterinary care, strong client communication, and teamwork with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.

Our Des Moines Hospital features digital radiography, in-house lab, ultrasound, and full surgical suite, focusing on patient and client care in a collaborative environment. Take on leadership with a culture of care in the Puget Sound region.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.
• Excellent communication skills with all staff and clients.
• Ability to elicit information and build rapport with pet owners.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Client communication and education.
• Performing diagnostic procedures and surgery.
• Maintaining accurate medical records.
• Pharmacy duties and controlled substance protocols.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on priorities.
• Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge.
• Attend daily rounds when possible to uphold high standards.
• Participate in practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
