Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga seeks a Board-Certified Surgeon or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join our growing surgery service within a collaborative emergency and specialty hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This is more than a clinical role: you will help grow and shape our surgical service, mentor veterinarians and interns, lead initiatives in advanced surgical medicine, and collaborate with a team of specialists to manage a diverse caseload with strong emergency

Qualifications

• DVM degree or equivalent and Tennessee license in good standing.
• Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS) or residency-trained and board-eligible in veterinary surgery.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to mentor clinicians and interns.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the surgery program.
• Provide leadership pathways for qualified candidates.
• Deliver advanced surgical medicine with access to CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, ICU monitoring, and fully equipped suites.
• Collaborate with surgery, oncology, and emergency clinicians.
• Mentor emergency clinicians, interns, and veterinarians; promote clinical excellence.
• Offer flexible scheduling options (full-time and part-time).
