Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking a Board-Certified Surgeon or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join our growing surgery service within a collaborative emergency and specialty hospital.

This role offers leadership opportunities, access to advanced surgical medicine, a mentorship culture, and flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time options in Chattanooga.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited veterinary school.
• Active Tennessee veterinary license or ability to obtain.
• Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or residency-trained and board-eligible.
• Passion for advanced, high-quality medicine and mentorship.
• Strong communicator and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the surgery service with leadership input.
• Collaborate with surgery, oncology, and emergency clinicians.
• Provide advanced surgical care with access to CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, ICU.
• Mentor interns and other veterinarians while maintaining clinical excellence.
• Support sustainable scheduling with flexible full-time and part-time options.
