The role combines clinical leadership with program development to expand our surgical capabilities.

Expect to manage a diverse caseload with access to advanced facilities (CT, ultrasound, ICU) and collaborate with oncology and emergency teams.

• DVM degree or equivalent and active Tennessee license (or able to obtain).
• Board-Certified in Veterinary Surgery or residency-trained and board-eligible.

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center of Chattanooga is seeking a Board-Certified Surgeon or Residency-Trained Veterinarian to join our growing surgery service within a collaborative emergency and specialty hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for a surgeon who wants more than a clinical role. You'll have the opportunity to help grow and shape our surgical service, manage a diverse and complex caseload, collaborate with emergency and specialty clinicians, and mentor veterinarians and interns in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Our ideal candidate:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
• DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited veterinary school
• Active veterinary license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain - we cover state licensure transfer fees)
• Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS) or residency-trained and board-eligible in veterinary surgery
• Passion for advanced, high-quality medicine
• Strong communicator with a professional, team-oriented approach

About Our Hospital:

• A 6,180-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility providing advanced emergency and specialty care
• A team of Specialists in Oncology and Surgery, and a cohesive group of nine (and counting) Emergency Clinicians
• A skilled team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians and support staff (4 to 1 Veterinary Technician to DVM Ratio)
