Job summary
Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Philadelphia seeks a Nursing Supervisor to lead credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants on busy shifts. You will empower the team, maintain high care standards, and help VEGgies grow in skill and confidence.
You will collaborate with hospital leadership to optimize patient flow and service quality in a fast-paced ER environment, while upholding compassionate care for pets and their families.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary nursing or technician role.
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants at all levels.
- Address team issues with clarity and care, protecting patients and the team.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance, feedback, recognition, and planning.
- Design and maintain hospital flow reflecting VEG Spikes for immediate doctor access and family presence.
- Address customer concerns in real-time and partner with leadership for solutions.
- Keep people and pets together, supported, and cared for throughout visit.
- Manage nursing schedule, PTO, and daily coverage needs.
- Guide team utilization to meet development goals.
- Lead team huddles and meetings to keep everyone aligned.
- Collaborate across leadership for smooth operations.
