Quantum-Systems GmbH seeks a Lead Verification Engineer (Land Domain) to define strategy and plan for verification and validation of autonomous ground systems—from unmanned ground vehicles to autonomous trucks—and to guide V&V activities, including testing on the road, in HIL, or in simulation environments.

Qualifications

• Autonomy stack knowledge with multi‑modal perception pipelines and ML components.
• Good grasp of ML approaches and their impact on system behavior and verifiability.
• Solid understanding of SIL, HIL, and component‑level testing.
• Proven experience in structured testing methodologies and large‑scale re‑simulation.
• Familiarity with simulation frameworks and sim‑to‑real fidelity gaps.
• Ability to interface with systems, software, and hardware engineers to design test strategies and evaluate outputs.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Test Leadership: Drive and advance testing methodologies for complex autonomy projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Systems Engineering, Development and Product teams to understand program scope and design.
• Test Strategy Development: Derive and implement tailored test strategies for each project.
• Test Execution: Support data collection and test setup, triggering data recordings and documenting results.
• Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Identify gaps in test strategies and ensure V&V meets requirements.
• Executive Reporting: Compile comprehensive test reports to support leadership decisions on releases.
