Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Kentucky seeks a Vehicle Maintenance Foreman to lead the maintenance staff responsible for heavy trucks and diesel equipment. This working foreman role involves inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and ensuring safety and compliance.

You will coordinate with management, train technicians, and maintain accurate records in SAP, while performing roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years repair/maintenance on heavy trucks and diesel engines.
• Experience using repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure.
• Waste industry experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain CDL B preferred.
• Ability to obtain valid DOT Medical Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate status of vehicles and equipment with management.
• Ensure repairs follow maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform safe repairs.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP.
• Instruct and train technicians to ensure proper completion of duties.
• Perform roadside repairs as needed.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Assist in other shop duties as required.
