Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Kentucky is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Repair Technician to keep our fleet safe and on the road. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel trucks and related equipment, following our maintenance schedules and DVIRs.

You’ll work in a fast-paced shop environment, perform fluid changes, component replacements, and paperwork accurately, with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience with repairing heavy trucks and diesel engines preferred.
• Ability to read repair manuals and electrical diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and legal work status in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules and DVIRs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues and make necessary repairs.
• Complete adjustments and component replacements to vehicles and equipment.
• Check, fill, and/or change fluids and filters.
• Inspect and repair vehicle support systems including electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Perform roadside repairs when qualified.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are functional.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
