Job summary

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, partners with a well-established mechanical subcontractor in Tamarac, FL to hire an experienced VDC Manager for large-scale mechanical projects, including hospitals. The role requires leading the VDC team and reading drawings, with duties in Revit and Navisworks for pipe layouts and isometrics.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in VDC leadership, strong communication, and a background in HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal on large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 8+ years VDC experience required.
• Experience in leadership role.
• Experience with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal.
• Proficiency with Navisworks & Revit MEP.
• Experience on large-scale projects (hospitals preferred).
• Effective communication & leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Read contract drawings & submittals.
• Prepare shop/detail drawings using Revit.
• Perform material take offs.
• Confirm & maintain quality.
• Develop pipe layout & isometric drawings.
• Develop/maintain HVAC & plumbing piping part families.
• Make coordination changes to drawings.
• In depth understanding of codes & installation.
• Lead VDC team.
