Job summary

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, partners with a well-established building solutions provider to hire an experienced VDC Specialist with thermal design experience. Open to Columbus, OH or La Mirada, CA locations.

This full-time role requires 3+ years VDC and strong Revit/Navisworks skills to support project coordination and code-compliant design. Candidates should have a solid grasp of LEAN/LEED principles and effective communication to liaise with PMs, clients, and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction preferred.
• 3+ years VDC experience.
• Experience with thermal design.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam & BIMTrack.
• Understanding of building codes, LEAN construction, LEED principles.
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Expert knowledge of thermal design.
• Act as contact between Project Management, clients & various teams.
• Identify & resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum & collaboration proactively.
• Coordinate task completion & other project activities with peers to ensure alignment.
• Conduct checks & ensure adherence to industry standards for clash detection/model coordination.
• Assist with modeling oversight & project scheduling to optimize performance.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of construction methods, building codes (IFC, UFC, CBC).
• Ability to model thermal bracing and supports in Revit & evaluate constructability of proposed implementations.
