Job summary

RealREPP, a national full-service recruiting firm, is partnering with a well-established mechanical subcontractor in Tamarac, FL to hire an experienced VDC Manager. The candidate will lead the VDC team on large-scale mechanical projects, including hospitals.

Required is a strong background in VDC leadership at a mechanical subcontractor, with proficiency in Navisworks and Revit MEP. Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• 8+ years VDC experience required.
• Experience in leadership role.
• Experience with mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal.
• Proficiency with Navisworks & Revit MEP.
• Experience on large-scale projects (hospitals preferred).
• Effective communication & leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Read contract drawings & submittals.
• Prepare shop/detail drawings using Revit.
• Perform material take offs.
• Confirm & maintain quality.
• Develop pipe layout & isometric drawings.
• Develop/maintain HVAC & plumbing piping part families.
• Make coordination changes to drawings.
• In depth understanding of codes & installation.
• Lead VDC team.

This will be a crucial addition to the team as they work on large-scale mechanical projects. Prior experience in VDC leadership at a mechanical subcontractor is required. Experience on large-scale mechanical projects required (hospitals preferred).
