Job summary

The role includes in-patient and out-patient care, education, and coordination with the transplant team and community resources.

Qualifications

• RN with California license and BSN required.
• 1 year ICU/critical care nursing experience.
• Experience with VAD patient care preferred.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
• Familiar with INTERMACS and transplant processes.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care as an RN to VAD and transplant patients and families.
• Acts as central contact for the Cardiothoracic Transplant Department.
• Participates in rounds and coordination with the transplant team.
• Maintains INTERMACS updates and waitlist management.
• On-call coverage and community education about the program.
