Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience or training.
• 5 years of RN experience with critical care and transplant coordination.
• California RN License.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross.
• CCTC certification within 1 year of hire.
• Ability to case manage all aspects of transplant care from evaluation to follow-up.
• Broad understanding of organ transplantation including immunology and immunosuppression.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transplant and VAD Coordinators and oversee daily workflows.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (UNOS, CMS, OPTN).
• Manage staffing and schedules; mentor coordinators.
• Guide complex clinical decision making and interdisciplinary communication.
• Data collection for clinical management and certification requirements.
• Develop clinical protocols, policies, and educational materials.
• Community education and liaison with organ procurement agencies.
