Job summary

Ryan, LLC is seeking a Lead UX Designer to shape the future of our digital tax products. You’ll guide experience strategy, mentor designers, and collaborate with product and engineering to deliver intuitive, impactful user experiences.

This hands-on leadership role balances design craft with team guidance, ideal for someone thriving at the intersection of strategy and execution. The team values collaboration, curiosity, and pushing design boundaries.

Qualifications

7–10 years of product/UX design with end-to-end ownership of complex workflows.
Proven ability to lead and mentor designers, raising the bar for team output.
Financial, enterprise, SaaS, or B2B background is a plus.
Experience using AI tools to accelerate design and research (Claude, etc.).

Responsibilities

Set design direction and elevate standards across digital products with a strategic mindset.
Mentor and grow other designers, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements and shape product strategy.
Champion design system consistency, scalability, and long-term cohesion.
Conduct user research and translate insights into measurable design outcomes.
