Job summary

Intersect is seeking an engineering leader to own the technical direction for utility-scale battery energy storage systems and related clean energy projects. You will own electrical design, system sizing, and balance-of-system work, coordinating with owners engineers and EPCs to optimize LCOS while ensuring constructability and safety.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years leading technical scope for utility-scale PV and/or battery storage.
• Deep knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems and power conversion equipment.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, UL, IEC and related codes.
• Experience interfacing with Independent Engineer diligence and project finance.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design, system sizing, and balance-of-system for standalone and hybrid ESS projects.
• Coordinate owner’s engineer and EPC-EOR to ensure constructability and reliability.
• Lead cross-functional optimization across Development, Land, Finance, and Engineering.
• Lead technical contract negotiations and support RFP processes with vendors.
• Develop technical specifications, design standards, and testing protocols.
• Advance AI-driven tools to model performance and optimize LCOS/LCOE.
