Position Overview and Responsibilities

The Lead Utility Cleaner is responsible for overseeing custodial staff, managing daily operations, scheduling, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring safety compliance. This role involves managing supplies and coordinating with other departments to maintain a clean, safe environment.

1. Supervision and Management:
   • Manage custodial staff, including training and performance feedback.
   • Create and maintain work schedules.
   • Conduct inspections to ensure quality.
2. Operational Management:
   • Develop cleaning procedures to ensure hygiene standards.
   • Coordinate with departments for specific cleaning needs.
3. Training and Compliance:
   • Ensure staff training on safety protocols.
   • Maintain OSHA compliance and Exposure Control Plan.
4. Inventory and Supplies Management:
   • Manage cleaning supplies and equipment.
   • Order and monitor supplies to control costs.
5. Quality Control:
   • Perform quality inspections and address deficiencies.
   • Implement quality assurance programs.
6. Health and Safety:
   • Ensure safe cleaning practices and conduct safety training.
   • Investigate incidents and enforce safety standards.
7. Customer Service:
   • Respond to custodial issues and inquiries.
   • Improve customer satisfaction through feedback.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; additional certifications preferred.
• 3-5 years custodial experience, with 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain Yankee White clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
