Job summary

The City of Henderson seeks an experienced Utility Construction Project Manager to lead the construction, start-up, and hand-over of CIP projects for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.

Under limited supervision, you will manage budgeting, scheduling, design and bidding, provide onsite construction management, and coordinate professional services to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• Five years of professional level construction project management experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license.
• Desirable: Current work experience managing utility capital improvement projects.
• Desirable: Licensed as a Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager in the State of Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction, start-up, and hand-over of CIP projects for water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, selection of professional services, programming, design, bidding, and on-site construction management.
• Coordinate all phases of construction and ensure timely project delivery.
