Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a CIP Coordinator in the Engineering department to assist with the coordination and delivery of the City’s Capital Improvement Program. You will collaborate with utility providers, manage project schedules, and help develop policies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Under supervision of the CIP Engineer, you may lead smaller projects and serve as the primary contact for utilities across CIP projects, improving consistency and efficiency across the program.

Qualifications

• Assist with coordination and delivery of CIP projects.
• Coordinate with utility providers and manage schedules.
• Develop CIP policies and procedures.
• Oversee 1-3 CIP projects; monitor budgets and specs.
• Assist in delivery from design through construction; coordinate with consultants, utilities, and internal departments.
• Supervise third parties; assign duties and evaluate performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with utility providers regarding utility conflicts, relocations, easement needs, and project schedules.
• Facilitates regular utility coordination meetings and tracks utility commitments and action items.
• Develops and maintains CIP policies, procedures, and project management tools
• Assists with implementation of departmental initiatives to improve consistency and efficiency
• May oversee 1-3 capital improvement projects at any given time through the oversight of project schedules and monitoring of budgets and specifications
• Assists with the delivery of assigned capital improvement projects from design through construction, including coordination with consultants, contractors, utilities, and internal departments.
• Assists in supervision and monitoring performance of third parties; assigning duties, scheduling work, and performance evaluation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
