Job summary

The City of Lodi is seeking an experienced customer service/utility billing professional to handle complex billing problems and service requests. You will research historical data, analyze consumption, and resolve issues with judgement and accuracy.

The role includes supervising or mentoring junior staff, processing billings, and supporting department programs in a collaborative city environment. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Admin, or comparable degree highly desirable.
• Three years of customer service experience related to utility billing, disconnects/reconnects, or two years as Customer Service Representative II with City of Lodi.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex billing problems and inquiries using data analysis and judgement.
• Process utility billings and edit bill batches for exceptions.
• Coordinate photovoltaic net and co-meter billing setup in CIS.
• Provide information on licenses, permits, and city financial transactions.
• Develop and implement department programs, systems, and procedures.
