GE HealthCare is seeking a Usability Engineer to lead interdisciplinary teams in defining user workflows and experiences for MR medical devices. You will work hands-on with end users, conduct usability tests for regulatory approval, and support design reviews with a focus on user-centered design principles.

The role involves collaborating with design, engineering, and quality/regulatory teams to ensure compliant product development and robust user experiences across the MR portfolio.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, or related fields, with emphasis on human factors or cognitive psychology.
• 5+ years professional experience in usability or user-centered design for medical devices.
• Demonstrated problem solving and creativity to meet user needs.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Program/project management experience and strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards.

Responsabilidades

• Capture and analyze user workflow and experience issues; translate requirements into interaction design concepts.
• Lead usability design and deliver usability-related artifacts (Use analysis report, FMEA, etc.).
• Conduct formative and summative usability studies; develop study plans, scripts, and reports.
• Provide domain expertise in design reviews and risk mitigations focused on user workflows and experiences.
• Work with Quality & Regulatory teams to integrate medical regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a local thought leader and consultant for UX issues.
• Utilize observational research, usability tests, expert reviews, heuristic evaluations, surveys.
• Promote a user-centered design process across the company and support UX planning.
