Job summary
Dispatch Bio in Pennsylvania seeks a Senior Scientist to contribute to upstream viral process development, building manufacturing capabilities and supporting process characterization. Reporting to the Director, Upstream Process Development, you will perform day-to-day lab activities, optimize cultures in shake flasks and bioreactors, and collaborate with research, analytical development, and external partners.
The role requires a PhD/masters with extensive experience in viral vectors and GMP.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree with substantial hands-on experience in viral vector upstream processing.
- Proven experience applying GMP principles to clinical and commercial manufacturing.
- Strong modeling, data analysis and interpretation in process development.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to upstream viral process development and set up vector manufacturing capabilities.
- Develop bench-scale suspension culture processes in shake flasks and bioreactors.
- Perform data review, maintain thorough lab notebooks, and support process characterization.
- Coordinate with research, analytical development, and external CDMO/partners.
- Author technical documents, batch records, SOPs, and regulatory sections as needed.
- Represent the company externally at meetings with collaborators and regulators.
