Job summary

ProBio, a GenScript subsidiary, seeks a Sr. Scientist in Downstream Process Development in Pennington, NJ. You will translate research processes to GMP manufacturing, develop and scale-up viral vector processes, and lead technology transfer initiatives.

You will design and execute downstream unit operations, analyze data, and collaborate across teams to support regulatory submissions and project timelines. Innovation in purification strategies will be encouraged.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in biotech development with gene and cell therapy focus.
• Experience with LVV and AAV process development is a plus.
• Experience in viral vector process development and manufacturing.
• Strong DOE and statistical analysis skills.
• Experience with FDA/EMA regulatory affairs is a plus.
• Excellent documentation and project management.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development and optimization of downstream unit operations for viral vector manufacturing.
• Plan, design, and execute LVV/AAV purification experiments and report data.
• Collaborate with internal and external partnerships to evaluate new bioprocess technologies.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support technology transfer and cGMP risk assessment.
• Maintain detailed project timelines.
• Assist in preparing CMC sections for regulatory submissions.
• Present updates to management on development and manufacturing activities.
• Stay current with gene and cell therapy literature to inform process design.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
