Job summary

Compass Group USA's Flik Hospitality division is seeking a Cafeteria Operations Supervisor to oversee daily cafeteria operations from open to close. You will manage a team, maintain costs and quality standards, and ensure sanitation compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years of upscale food service experience with 2 years in management; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Strong supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching skills, plus MS Office proficiency, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years upscale food service experience, including two years at the management level.
• Supervising, scheduling, training, management & coaching skills.
• Knowledge of basic work area operations, company and client policies and procedures.
• Operational knowledge of the cash handling procedures and operation of food service equipment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• ServSafe or Department of Health certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Interviews, hires, trains and coaches employees and entry level managers.
• Plans, assigns and directs job duties.
• Participates in employee meetings, reviews and development.
• Ensures compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards.
• Prepares and maintains volume trend analysis report on a daily basis.
• Plans, markets and executes special events/promotions in the café.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
