Job summary

Reliant Critical Infrastructure in Dallas, TX seeks an experienced UPS Technician III to install, commission, and maintain UPS and battery systems. The role includes leading crews, coordinating with contractors and clients, and ensuring safety and on-time project delivery with ~50% travel.

Candidates should have 3–5 years UPS service experience, strong electrical/mechanical background, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and PPE. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; UPS service experience 3–5 years preferred.
• Electrical and mechanical experience with UPS/DC systems and familiarity with major manufacturers.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain UPS systems and service equipment.
• Know-how of basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry.
• Trained in use of diagnostic tools (DMMs, infrared, oscilloscopes) and PPE (arc-flash).
• Understand isolation devices and proper PPE; capable of torqueing, inspecting installations, and leading crews.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, start up, commission, and certify UPS and battery systems.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance; troubleshoot and repair without supervision.
• Operate UPS, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers.
• Lead crews, assess staffing needs, and estimate consumables for projects.
• Coordinate with contractors, partners, and clients to meet schedules and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with teams and customers; monitor safety and productivity.
