Job summary

CPG is seeking a UPS Technician III (Travel) to perform startup, certifications, preventative maintenance, and routine service for UPS and battery systems in the Northern, VA area. Travel may be required to install, troubleshoot, and commission systems, leading crews and coordinating with contractors and clients to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The role demands strong electrical/mechanical knowledge, OSHA 30-hour and NFPA-70E safety training, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with 3–5 years UPS service experience.
• Electrical/mechanical experience relating to UPS systems and DC systems; knowledge of OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Perform UPS replacements, new installations, and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and start-up UPS systems with minimal disruption to customers.
• Lead jobs with multiple crew members of varying skill levels.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, partners, and clients to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
• Operate UPS and battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers.
• Ensure safety by using isolation devices and PPE as required.
